NDA is planning to recruit maximum cadets in the year 2011

Indian armed forces are facing shortage of Officers. To overcome this shortage, National Defence Academy which is one of the premier defense institute in India started recruiting more number of candidates than those passin gout. The number of cadets in NDA does not increase more than 1800 in any year. But in the 125th course of NDA, 330 cadets were admitted in January,2011 which is 150 more than the 180 who passed out in November,2010.

The National Defense Academy has the capacity to train only 1800 cadets per term and the number of cadets in NDA never exceeded the figure of 1800. 180 cadets passed out from NDA in November,2010 but the number of cadets in NDA who were admitted in January,2011 was 330 instead of 180. So the number of cadets in NDA now is higher than the capacity of NDA.

So accordingly to meet the requirements of additional cadets, NDA will be stepping up the training facilities. The facilities include more number of cycles, horses, staff and corresponding increase in other facilities.

Lot of measures were taken to absorb the additional number of cadets in NDA without compromising the comfort and quality of training given to the cadets in NDA.
